Long-Term Care Careers

Long-Term Care Careers

At East Alabama health, we have opportunities for health care careers in our long-term care setting.  We are proud to offer a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program that prepares students to test and become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).

CNA Program

Start your career in health care by applying for the East Alabama Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program sponsored by East Alabama Health!  We are pleased to place qualified applicants through the nurse aide training program. Following training and testing, you will then be placed into a CNA position at EAMC-Lanier Nursing Home. We are looking for compassionate people who are interested in helping others to join our team.  The CNA positions we have within our long-term care facility offer a chance to make a difference in the lives and health of our elderly patients who live in this facility.

  • At the end of the EAH-sponsored, 6-week training program, participants will be expected to be proficient in their area of study and prepared to take the exam required to become a Certified Nursing Assistant through the Alabama Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Selection into this program will include an application and interview process. If the application is not completed in full, the applicant may not be considered for the program.
  • The participants selected must be willing to work any available shift at EAMC-Lanier Nursing Home.  There will also be a work-off agreement to adhere to in order to participate in the training program.
  • If you are selected to participate, you will be notified of the dates, time, and location of the training program.
  • If you are interested in being considered for this program, please contact Human Resources at  334-528-4188.
