Nana Ama Bentum, M.D.
Nana Bentum, M.D., specializes in Maternal Fetal Medicine at East Alabama Medical Center. Dr. Bentum earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her fellowship at John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, Texas and completed her residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Bentum was the Labor and Delivery Medical Director at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas as well as the Maternal Fetal Medicine Associate Fellowship Program Director at McGovern Medical School. She has also been awarded the ACOG National Faculty Award. Dr. Bentum’s medical interests include hypertension in pregnancy.
In her spare time, Dr. Bentum enjoys spending time with her husband, Samuel, traveling, eating diverse cuisine, and singing in church choirs.
