About Me
Alan Howard, M.D. is a neurologist at East Alabama Medical Center. After earning his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, Dr. Howard completed his residency at UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina.
Originally from Glencoe, Ala., Dr. Howard chose a career in medicine with hopes to one day give back to the state of Alabama. He is thrilled to practice in his home state and have the opportunity to take care of his community.
Dr. Howard and his wife, Milza Howard, M.D., a psychiatrist at East Alabama Psychiatric Services, have one child. In his free time, Dr. Howard enjoys songwriting, playing piano, and attending concerts with his wife. A fun fact about Dr. Howard is that he was in the opening act for a two-time grammy award winning artist.
