About Me
Dr. Lusche is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, and serves as program director of East Alabama Health's Psychiatry Residency Program. Originally from southern California, Dr. Lusche has been with East Alabama Medical Center since 2000. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine (now the Keck School of Medicine) and his residency and child psychiatry fellowship training at University of Southern California - Los Angeles County Hospital.
Throughout his career he has focused on developing systems of care and education, from Medical Director for Children's Services in the community mental health system of southern Arizona, to the Child & Adolescent Fellowship at the University of Arizona, and now nearly 25 years serving the east Alabama region. He is board certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry. For his clinical work, community service, and other professional activities, Dr. Lusche is honored to be a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and photography.
