About Me
Gilad Shapira, D.O. is a gastroenterologist with the Gastroenterology Center of EAMC.
Dr. Shapira earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of South Alabama. Following his residency, he completed his gastroenterology fellowship with New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.
Dr. Shapira’s medical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer screening, and integrating AI and innovation into gastroenterology. He is ABIM board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
In his free time, Dr. Shapira enjoys traveling, exercising, and watching Auburn sports.
