East Alabama Health Opens New Gastroenterology Center of EAMC

Patients seeking treatment for digestive and gastrointestinal problems will have a new option for care. East Alabama Health is proud to announce the opening of Gastroenterology Center of EAMC.
The Gastroenterology Center of EAMC brings dedicated, comprehensive care to identifying, treating and preventing gastrointestinal conditions and digestive issues. Dr. J. Randall Newman, M.D., will be the providing physician at the clinic.
Newman earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Vanderbilt University. He went on to attend medical school and complete his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received the Osler Award for Excellence in Clinical Diagnosis by an Intern. He then returned to Vanderbilt to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology.
Newman's clinical interests include therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
The clinic is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is located under Canopy Four at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
