Primary Care Office Opens at Still Waters Hwy 49 Entrance
April 13, 2021
People living on the Dadeville side of Lake Martin now have a new option for health care as East Alabama Medical Center has opened a clinic at the entrance to StillWaters on Highway 49. The facility is home to the organization’s Primary Medicine Associates (PMA) each weekday, and cardiologists from Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates will have clinic hours routinely each month starting in June.
The PMA clinic opened on March 8 and is available to all ages, for both well visits and care of walk-in patients with minor injuries and illnesses. Christine Glenn, CRNP, is the main provider at the clinic. Patients who she determines are in need of more than primary care will be referred to a specialist. If the specialty care needed is heart-related, the patient can be scheduled to see David Holmes, M.D. or Kevin Ryan, M.D. from Pinnacle Cardiovascular during the next heart clinic day at this office, starting in June.
Glenn explains that she is passionate about wellness and prevention, and enjoys working with patients to improve their health conditions. “I enjoy having the time to work with my patients, help them understand why they are sick or educate them about their chronic disease and what they can do to make themselves feel better,” she says. “I also enjoy teaching patients about their medications and how the medicines are specifically designed to help them.”
The Primary Medicine Associates clinic is located at 2129 Moonbrook Drive in Dadeville. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
