About Me
Milza Howard, M.D. is a psychiatrist at East Alabama Psychiatric Services. After earning her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Dr. Howard completed her residency at UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina.
Originally from Alabaster, Ala., Dr. Howard was drawn to psychiatry because of the meaningful connections she forms with her patients and the ability to help people get their lives back. Dr. Howard and her husband, Alan Howard, M.D., a neurohospitalist at East Alabama Medical Center, have one child. In her spare time, Dr. Howard enjoys attending concerts and live sporting events, traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family and their two pugs.
