Noah Sanford, PharmD

Noah Sanford

Noah Sanford is from Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Noah completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University in Biomedical Sciences. He earned his PharmD from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy. His clinical interests are infectious disease and internal medicine. Outside of work, Noah enjoys watching college athletics, reading, and fishing.

Courtney Reliford, PharmD

Courtney Reliford

Courtney Reliford is from Douglas, GA, and earned her PharmD from the University of Georgia. With a passion for psychiatry, ambulatory care, and critical care, she’s deeply committed to her clinical pursuits. When she's not immersed in her work, Courtney loves adventuring with her dachshund Frankie, diving into a good book, and traveling with friends.

Leah Clark, PharmD

Leah Clark

Leah Clark is from Highland, Indiana. Leah completed her prerequisites and PharmD at Purdue University College of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Indiana then went on to complete her PGY1 at Indiana University Health Academic Health Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her career goals include practicing as an emergency medicine specialist/clinical toxicologist and college of pharmacy professor. Beyond her profession, Leah enjoys playing Pokemon Go.

Madyson Cruse, PharmD

Madyson Cruse

Madyson is originally from Franklin, North Carolina. She pursued her pharmacy prerequisite courses at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina before completing her PharmD at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy in Johnson City, Tennessee. Madyson completed her PGY1 training at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee where she found a passion for working in emergency medicine. After the PGY2 program's completion, she aims to work in the emergency department where she can serve as a preceptor for future students and residents. Outside of pharmacy practice, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, playing with her dogs and reading.

Leborah Lee, Pharm.D., BCPS, DLPA

PGY1 Residency Program Director

Leborah Cole Lee holds a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP). Leborah completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. She has served as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Coordinator. During this time, she also played a pivotal role in mentoring PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents and student pharmacists from HCOP and Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Jackson Hospital & Clinic, Inc. in Montgomery, Alabama, from 2017-2023. She has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Clinical Employee of the Quarter by Jackson Hospital & Clinic in 2019 and the Affiliate Regional Preceptor of the Year from HCOP in 2020. Currently, Leborah serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at East Alabama Health in Opelika, Alabama. In 2022, Leborah completed the Academy of Pharmacy Leadership through the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacy (ASHP). She is an active leader within the pharmacy community, having served as the Director of Professional Affairs for the Alabama Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ALSHP) from 2020-2022, and she now holds the position of ALSHP President. Outside of her professional endeavors, Leborah finds joy in spending quality time with her family. She, along with her husband, takes pleasure in the company of their three-year-old son and their 10-year-old calico cat. They share a love for traveling, relaxing by the pool, and cherishing moments with both family and friends.

Jason E. Dover, Pharm.D., BCEMP

PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director

Originally from Flint, Michigan, Jason graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Medical Technology. His first job was with Neogen Corporation operating in the technical services department, then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a microbiologist. While there, he worked in communicable diseases and with the Special Pathogens Branch, where he focused on Ebolavirus and SARS-CoV-1 research. He went on to obtain a Master’s in Microbiology and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Auburn University. His current interests are emergency medicine and teaching. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, dancing, and traveling. Fun fact: prior to an ACL injury, Jason was a long jumper and recorded a 19'8" jump while in 11th grade.

Kayla Brown, Pharm.D., BCPS

IM Residency Outpatient Clinic, Med-Surg Preceptor

Kayla serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during the Internal Medicine Residency Outpatient Clinic and Medicine-Surgery rotations. Originally from Ashford, Alabama, she earned her bachelor's in biochemistry and cell biology from Huntingdon College and played softball. Following her graduation, Brown attended Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy and graduated with a Pharm.D. She completed her PGY1 residency at East Alabama Medical Center.

Melissa O. Bagwell, Pharm.D.,

BCPS NICU/Pediatrics Preceptor

Melissa O. Bagwell serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during NICU and Pediatrics rotations. An Auburn native, Melissa earned her Pharm.D. from Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy and is board certified in pharmacotherapy. Her professional interests include neonatology, cardiology, and parenteral nutrition. Outside of work, she enjoys watching Auburn High football, reading, and outdoor activities.

Sarah-Anne Blackburn, Pharm.D., BCPS

Infusion Svcs., Rheumatology Preceptor 

Sarah-Anne Blackburn serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during Infusion Services and Rheumatology rotations. She earned her Pharm.D. from Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy. Fun fact: Sarah has previously been skydiving.

Sydney Bowman, Pharm.D., BCPS

EAMC Pharmacy Residency Preceptor

Sydney Bowman is from New Site, Alabama, and serves as a preceptor for EAMC's Pharmacy Residency Program. She attended Auburn University for both her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Harrison College of Pharmacy. Her clinical interests include critical care and emergency medicine. In her spare time, Sydney enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, cooking, and watching sports.

Elizabeth W. Covington, Pharm.D., BCIDP

Internal Medicine, Antimicrobial Stewardship Preceptor

Elizabeth graduated from Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy. She went on to complete a PGY1 residency at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Her practice site is internal medicine/antimicrobial stewardship. Her fun fact is she studied for a semester in Italy while in college.

Sarah Grace Gunter, Pharm.D., BCIDP

Infectious Diseases, Antimicrobial Stewardship Preceptor

Sarah Grace is a native of Opelika and graduated from the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University. She completed a PGY1 residency at East Alabama Medical Center followed by a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Sarah Grace is excited to be back at EAH and serve as preceptor for both the infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship rotations. When she’s not at work she enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking. Fun fact: she has climbed two “fourteeners” in Colorado.

Kelly Hester, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, AAHIVP

EAMC Unity Wellness Clinic Preceptor

Kelly Hester received a B.S. and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She practices in affiliation with the EAMC Unity Wellness Clinic in Opelika, Alabama, providing collaborative medication therapy management services for the primary care and HIV medical needs of patients. Areas of clinical interest include metabolic and cardiovascular risk reduction in the HIV population, HIV antiretroviral stewardship, transitions of care, and retention of care. Outside of work, she loves to play golf and travel.

Shelby Harris, Pharm.D., BCPS

EAMC Pharmacy Residency Preceptor

Shelby Harris serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs. She earned her Pharm.D. from Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy. Following graduation, Harris completed a residency at East Alabama Medical Center. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time her two golden retrievers, Maggie and Blue.

Danielle Hood, Pharm.D.

Oncology Preceptor

Danielle Hood serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during residents' oncology rotation. She attend the Mercer University College of Pharmacy, and completed a PGY1 residency at Huntsville Hospital. Outside of work, she enjoys going on medical mission trips.

Kara Latham, Pharm.D.

Administration, Leadership Rotation

Kara Latham serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during residents' administration and leadership rotations. She earned her doctorate in pharmacy from the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Outside of work she loves to travel.

Laura Matthews, Pharm.D., M.S.

Administration and Leadership Preceptor

Laura Matthews is the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services for East Alabama Health (EAH), which includes pharmacy services for the EAMC-Opelika campus, EAMC-Lanier campus, the Spencer Cancer Center and the EAMC-Freestanding Emergency Department (FED). Matthews earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology/Physiology, and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Auburn University. She serves as a preceptor for the Administration and Leadership rotation.

Ashlee Milam, Pharm.D., BCPS

Emergency Medicine Rotation Preceptor

Ashlee Milam attended Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 residency at Baptist Medical Center South. She currently serves as an emergency medicine pharmacist at EAMC. Before attending pharmacy school, she worked as a forensic chemist with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.

Suzanne Morrison, RPh

General Medicine Rotation Preceptor

Suzanne Morrison attended Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy. She has worked at EAMC for 32 years, and serves as a preceptor for the general medicine rotation.

Jordan Vickers, Pharm.D., BCPS

Internal Medicine Preceptor

Jordan Vickers attended Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy and completed his residency at Auburn University Clinical Health Services. He precept the Internal Medicine Rounding Team rotation. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, piano, and singing - and has been a wedding singer a few times.

Jeanna Sewell, Pharm.D., BCACP

Ambulatory Care, Mercy Medical Clinic Preceptor

Jeanna Sewell serves as a preceptor for East Alabama Medical Center's PGY1 and PGY2 programs during residents' ambulatory care Mercy Medical Clinic rotations. She earned her Pharm.D. from Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy, and completed her PGY-1 and PGY-2.

Drew Smith, Pharm.D., BCPS

EAMC Pharmacy Residency Preceptor

Drew Smith attended the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy, and previously worked at St. Vincent's before joining EAMC. He and his wife were extras in the Marvel movie Black Panther.

Casey Spears, Pharm.D.

Operations Preceptor

Casey Spears attended Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy, and has called Auburn home for the past 23 years. She has extensive experience in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings. Outside of work, she stays busy with her husband, two sons, and Hickory Hollow Angus, a registered angus farm she co-owns with her family in Pisgah, Alabama.

Adrianna Reagan, Pharm.D., BCPS

Wellbeing Chair, Emergency Medicine Rotation Preceptor

Adrianna Reagan, PharmD, graduated from Harrison College of Pharmacy at Auburn University. She completed a PGY1 residency at Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, Georgia. Currently, she is an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist at EAMC. Outside work, she loves listening to true crime and murder mystery podcasts.

Kristy Williams, Pharm.D., BCPS

Critical Care Preceptor

Kristy Williams completed both her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Pharm.D. at Auburn University. She has been a pharmacist at EAMC for almost 19 years and currently serves as the preceptor for the critical care rotation. She has two children, Hudson and Lillie, and she has a twin sister that is a veterinarian and an older brother that is a physician.

Margaret Williamson, Pharm.D., BCPS, CDCES

IM Residency Clinic, Longitudinal Ambulatory Care Preceptor, Med-Surg Preceptor

Margaret graduated from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy and our very own East Alabama Health PGY-1 pharmacy residency program. Her rotation site is the Internal Medicine Residency Clinic where she co-precepts the longitudinal ambulatory care rotation for the residency. A fun fact, Margaret plays and watches tennis in her spare time.
