Provides investigators with experienced clinical research nurses, research coordinators and space for research with human subjects. Our facilities include a full-service laboratory, private areas for consenting study subjects and completing online questionnaires, and office space for investigators to utilize while they are here. In addition, a conference room with video conferencing capabilities is available for research team or group study subject meetings.

Study subject Recruitment and Screening Services provide trained personnel to recruit study participants as well as complete telephone and email screenings of individuals to determine basic study eligibility and invitation to schedule the initial study visit.

The Laboratory is fully equipped to process and store blood and other study samples. Samples may be stored at the unit or shipped to labs for analysis. The laboratory is equipped with centrifuges, refrigerator, freezers(-20C & -80C), and analytical balances. ORC employs Cerner for de-identified sample storage and management. Routine biomedical assays are performed at the Clinical Laboratory on EAH’s main campus. Specialized biomedical and genetic assays are sent to a Reference Laboratory as needed.
