East Alabama Apothecary is a full-service, state-of-the-art, independent retail pharmacy that is open 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. East Alabama Apothecary is located on the second floor of East Alabama Medical Center, and its services are available for the public, including students, patients and employees of East Alabama Health.
Services Offered
- Prescriptions and Over-the-counter Medication - East Alabama Apothecary offers prescriptions and over-the-counter medications and provides treatments that serve specialized needs. Pharmacists are available to educate patients and family members on medication and answer questions. Most insurance plans are accepted.
- Immunization Program - East Alabama Apothecary offers a wide variety of routine and travel vaccines. Speak to a pharmacist at East Alabama Apothecary for more information about which vaccines are appropriate for your age and current medical conditions.
- Meds to Beds Program - The Meds to Beds program is a concierge delivery service for East Alabama Medical Center patients. The Meds to Beds team will deliver discharge prescriptions to a patient’s bedside before they are discharged from hospital. This means no stopping at a pharmacy on the way home and waiting for prescriptions to be filled. Pharmacists are available to educate patients and family members on medication and answer questions. Most insurance plans are accepted and there are no additional delivery fees. Copays are due upon delivery of the medications.
- Snacks, drinks, and personal care items are also available.
Location
The East Alabama Apothecary is located on the second floor of East Alabama Medical Center. If entering through The Surgery Center doors, East Alabama Apothecary can be found down the hallway on the left. There are five dedicated parking spots for Apothecary customers located in The Surgery Center entrance loop. These doors are only accessible from 5 a.m. - 7 p.m. If entering East Alabama Medical Center through the Main Lobby, take the elevator to the second floor and signs will direct you to the Apothecary. These doors are accessible 24 hours a day.
