Earn and Learn Program

Earn and Learn Program

East Alabama Health’s Earn and Learn Program provides a unique opportunity for local high school students to interact and work in a professional, clinical setting and explore potential pathways.

The program offers students temporary paid positions in a variety of departments throughout the organization. Participants in the program work approximately 20 hours per week and receive specialized, on-the-job training while still in school. Earn and Learn participation may also count for school credit depending upon a student’s situation.

Students can participate in the program at EAMC, EAMC-Lanier, the East Alabama Medical Center Freestanding Emergency Department, EAMC Physician Practices or RehabWorks in Opelika. Interested students must complete an application for program placement and matching. To participate, students should also ensure they meet all requirements as listed on the application.
