Guidelines for Clinical Placements, Preceptorships, Internships, and Practicums

East Alabama Health affiliates with many colleges and educational programs to offer students experience in their areas of focus through clinical placements, preceptorships, internships, and practicums. These clinical experiences allow students to apply theory into practice while under supervision of clinical instructors and hospital staff.

  • All clinical and internship experiences must be pre-arranged and approved by East Alabama Health.
  • Due to the large volume of clinical and internship requests, East Alabama Health may not be able to accommodate all requests.
  • In the event a request cannot be honored, an East Alabama Health representative will inform the school/student so that alternative clinical opportunities can be arranged.
Clinical and Internships Opportunities are frequently requested in the following areas:
  • Speech
