The Heart and Valve Center at East Alabama Health
At the Heart and Valve Center at East Alabama Health, our comprehensive heart and valve care begins with determining the best possible treatment plan for each individual patient. Our specialized heart team is founded on a multidisciplinary approach to patient selection, leveraging the expertise of our cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, valve clinic coordinators, imaging specialists, anesthesiologists, and the East Alabama Health cardiac catheter lab and operating room staff. The Heart and Valve Center is made up of practitioners from EAMC's cardiology department, the Heart and Lung Surgeons of East Alabama and Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates.
East Alabama Health’s cardiology unit is located at the East Alabama Medical Center, located at 2000 Pepperell Parkway Opelika, Alabama 36801. Patients should enter through the Outpatient Admission Center (canopy three).
Practitioners here perform non-invasive diagnostic testing such as transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine echo tests and nuclear stress tests. The cardiology unit also implants pacemakers, automatic implantable defibrillators, and biventricular automatic implantable defibrillators.
The Heart and Lung Surgeons of East Alabama perform surgeries and procedures including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), heart valve replacement, mediastinoscopy, video-assisted thoracoscopy (VAT), thoracotomy (lung surgery), including wedge resection, lobectomy, and pneumonectomy, robotic and minimally invasive valve surgery, robotic coronary revascularization (bypass surgery), minimally invasive MAZE procedure for atrial fibrillation, and robotic resection of atrial tumors and closure of atrial septal defects.

Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates is a cardiology practice that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care at clinic locations and at East Alabama Medical Center.
The Pinnacle Cardiovascular main office is located at 2601 Village Professional Dr. Opelika, Alabama 36801.
